Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya (1408-1503) the saint composer of the 15th century is the earliest known musician of India to compose 32k songs called “sankIrtanas” in praise of Lord Venkateswara.Lord Vishnu manifested Himself as Lord Venkateswara in Tirumala Hills to protect the Dharma from decay in the Current Age (Kali Yuga). Annamacharya was born as the incarnation of Hari Nandakam(sword) to promote Dharma through his powerful Sankirtanas (devotional songs). Annamayya's 606th Jayanti is celebrated this year.
